Starfire Phlox
General Information
Starfire Phlox is a perennial plant. This will be a taller perennial, reaching up 3 feet tall. It will typically have a nice upright form, with flowers held above the foliage. It is a nice choice for a variety of landscaping areas. Starfire Phlox has narrow leaves, but with nice, dense growth. The leaves will have burgundy tint upon emergence, dark green through the rest of the growing season. The large flower clusters appear mid summer, continuing into the early fall. The flowers are a very attractive bright red in color. They are great for attracting a variety of pollinators!
Additional Information
Phlox paniculata ‘Starfire’ will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Starfire Phlox tends to do best when planted in full sunlight. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
