Tiny Gold Barberry
General Information
Tiny Gold Barberry is a deciduous shrub. It is a smaller sized shrub, reaching up to 2 feet tall. It grows in a compact, dense and overall rounded fashion. This barberry is perfect for borders, landscape beds or as an accent plant. The densely growing foliage provides the plant with a very attractive appearance throughout the growing season. The leaves will emerge bright yellow in color, typically maturing to a greenish-yellow color. This shrub is relatively low maintenance and has good resistance to deer and rabbits.
Additional Information
Berberis thunbergii ‘Tiny Gold’ will grow 18 to 24 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Tiny Gold Barberry tends to grow best in partial sun conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
